Therefore, younger children may only manage to eat 1 slice of bread with banana and honey topping.

Healthy Banana Recipe
Warm Banana with Toast and Honey

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 2 medium bananas
  • 2 slices wholemeal bread per person
  • 1-2 tsp honey per portion

Preparation

Toast the wholemeal bread on both sides either under a grill or in a toaster

Peel the bananas and thinly slice or mash with a fork straight onto the toast. Spread banana evenly close to the crust.

Drizzle the honey over each piece.

Place under a hot grill and heat through until the honey starts to spread and bubble slightly.

Remove and serve immediately with your favourite hot drink or a glass of milk or juice.
